Japotech Solutions is delighted to celebrate its Third Anniversary on 1st March 2020. It marks three (3) years after we opened our offices to clients on 1st March 2017. In the seemingly overcrowded Ugandan ICT market, most pundits could not easily visualize a new inexperienced player declare its entrance in the IT/ITES industry, to compete with giants with decades of experience. Due to very formidable leadership, Japotech defied the odds by acquiring sizeable customers and projects in a few months, with very reputable companies.
Japotech has since grown to serve more than 200 clients in telecom, tourism and other services sectors. Japotech has exported its services to countries such as Morocco, Italy, Spain, Niger and now entering the US market. Since then, Japotech has been registered with Uganda Export Promotions Board as one of the exporters of IT/ITES services.
In the past year, Japotech went through a very rigorous process of developing a quality management system. The process which took more than 6 months saw Japotech develop several processes, policies and records which drive production, finance, human resource, procurement and management of several stakeholders.
By December 2019, Japotech was awarded the prestigious ISO9001:2015 certificate No. 801189, by the Norwegian accreditation company NEMKO. We are so proud of this achievement because Japotech stands among the less than 10 Ugandan ICT companies which have reached this level of international certification.
The achievements of Japotech cannot be mentioned without recognizing the contribution of our dedicated staff, supportive partners such as Liquid Telecom, Tyootr, International Trade Center, Microsoft and others.
In our fourth year, we are consolidating our gains in the local market, but also aggressively laying foundation to reach out to the foreign markets especially in East Africa as well as Europe and the Americas. We are very optimistic that Japotech Solutions is a rising giant born in Uganda with a clear vision of becoming a self-sustaining ICT company in East Africa.
We continue to seek for numerous collaborations with the private and public sector to meet the Sustainable Development Goals relating to ICT Infrastructure in Africa.
