Japotech team is elated to be celebrating the 8th anniversary on 1st March 2025. Over the last 8 years, our mission of contributing towards increasing broadband Internet penetration in Uganda and Africa at large, has not only remained un-shaken, but has been significantly enhanced. We have diligently served our customers by providing high quality telecom integration, consultancy and training services to Mobile Network Operators (MNOs), Internet Service Providers (ISPs), Tower Companies, et al, within and outside Uganda.
In our first year in 2017, Unlimited Internet was rare in Uganda due to prohibitive set-up and monthly recurring costs. We established that the high set-up cost was partly attributed to the providers using expensive contractors to install the Internet links; an issue we have contributed to resolving using local talent.
To-date, Japotech holds the prestigious ISO45001:2018 (Occupational Health and Safety) and ISO9001:2015 (Quality Management System) certifications and has recently acquired Uganda Communication Commission (UCC) License of Equipment Vending and Installation. We are forever grateful to the International Trade Center (ITC’s) Netherlands Trust Fund V (NTFV) Fast Track project, that has continued supporting the company in business development and mentorship.
We appreciate our committed team of full-time, contract and associate staff, who are working tirelessly on the on-going projects like they did for the completed projects. In the past one year, our engineers attended over 30 certification trainings in wireless technology design, installation, configuration and maintenance with our Canadian Partner Cambium Networks.
In the nineth year of operation, Japotech looks forward to enhancing strategic partnerships with its stakeholders in the private and public sectors, both local and international. Employing the continuous improvement (“Kaizen”) approach to our services, Japotech will continue delivering high-quality and cost-effective telecom integration, consulting and training solutions to our customers using local talent, world class process and strategic partnerships; to become the fastest growing telecom integration company in East Africa and beyond.
